Chapter 78 "Nothing." William's voice cut through the silence before he turned and walked away.
Brianna didn't chase after him this time. She watched him leave, well-aware that he was still upset. How else could he have suddenly turned so cold toward her? The thought of Jenson and his words sent a jolt through Brianna.
She couldn't stay still. She spun around, hoping to find him and Tiffany where she'd left them, but they had vanished.
Brianna fumbled for her phone and dialed Jenson's number. The unanswered tone echoed in her ears, each ring building her frustration.
Finally, she hung up and stormed back to the dorm, anger simmering inside her.

She continued eating, her eyes glued to the TV show she was streaming on her laptop. Brianna approached her and questioned, "Tiffany, aren't you taking things too far?" Tiffany furrowed her brow, uninterested in engaging with Brianna.
However, Brianna was seemingly unhinged as she reached over and yanked the power cord from Tiffany's computer.
The screen flickered and went dark, plunging the room into silence.
Brianna was still clutching the cord as she glared at Tiffany angrily. "I know you resentfor taking William away, but do you really have to stoop to such underhanded tactics to get back at me?" Instead of responding, Tiffany met her gaze with indifference and asked, "So, is Jenson truly your ex-boyfriend?" Brianna's composure faltered for a moment. Instead of getting any answers from Tiffany, she had fallen right into her trap.
However, she regained her composure and looked Tiffany directly in the eye, refusing to show any weakness.
"So what if he is?" "Nothing. I have no interest in your messy love life," Tiffany replied nonchalantly.
"Drop the mighty act, Tiffany! Jenson wouldn't have shown up out of nowhere and spewed all that nonsense if you hadn't put him up to it.
"Don't you see what you've done? William doesn't trustanymore! His coldness cuts right through me, and it's all your fault.
"Is this what you wanted? Are you finally satisfied? Was your goal to tear us apart? Well, I've got news for you even if William leaves me, he'd never cback to you!" Tiffany stared at Brianna and felt a sense of utter unfamiliarity.
In her memories, Brianna had always been a soft-spoken, polite, and sensible girl. But the Brianna standing in front of her now was a stark contrast to the person she had once known. She was a fiery and unreasonable maniac! "I'm not going to repeat myself. I have zero interest in your messy affairs! Now, plug my laptop back in! I'm counting to three!" "Tiffany!" "One!" Brianna's grip on the cord tightened until her knuckles whitened. A silent rage pulsed through her.
"Two!" Brianna's glare could have burned through steel.
"Three!" A cold, bitter laugh escaped Brianna's lips.

Having been interrupted by Brianna's outburst, Tiffany lost her appetite for her half-eaten instant oatmeal. After dumping it, she grabbed sclean clothes and headed to the O bathroom.
The door clicked shut behind her, and she began her shower.
A wicked glint flickered in Brianna's eyes as she listened to the water running. She retrieved a spare key from her drawer and silently unlocked the bathroom door.
The shower curtain shielded Tiffany, leaving her blissfully unaware of Brianna's presence.
Brianna stealthily snatched her towel and clothes, then locked the door from the outside and cranked up the air conditioning in the bathroom to a chilly 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Settling back onto her bed, Brianna waited with a triumphant smirk.
She pictured Tiffany's confusion turning to horror as she discovered her missing clothes her growing desperation as she rattled the locked door, and finally, her frantic pleas for help. en
