How would she possibly know that Vincent didn't like chicken soup? His words were enough to expose her lie. She forced a smile and said, "Maybe Grandma got it wrong because her age is getting to her. I'll pour it away if you don't like it." "It'd be a waste to pour this away." Vincent looked at Tiffany. "Do you drink chicken soup, Tiffany?" Tiffany was caught off guard by his question. Kelly gnashed her teeth but kept her smile in place as she said, "Oh, right. If you like it, Tiffany can have it. It'd be a waste to pour it away, after all. I spent a really long ton this." Tiffany wasn't ignorant; she could read the room. She waved her hands and said, "I'm not a fan of chicken soup, either. Thanks for the offer, Mr. Lewis, and Kelly too." "Is that so?" Kelly looked disappointed. "It's such a waste." Vincent didn't push the subject. Instead, he said, "You can just leave it there, then. I'll give it to Alex later. He likes chicken soup." Kelly smiled. "Okay." Kelly poured the soup back into the Thermos flask. When she cout of the pantry, she saw Vincent and Tiffany hard at work. It was a quiet and serene scene, but Kelly found it annoying.
She walked over to Vincent. "Mr. Lewis, I was chatting with Ivy earlier when a young lady approached us. She was in tears as she told us she'd been fired.
"I asked her about it-it doesn't seem like too big a deal. She kept beggingfor help, so could you-" "No." Vincent didn't hesitate in his rejection. "We don't need careless people like her in the company." Kelly smiled woefully. "I've already promised her I'd help, though. Besides, I heard from Ivy that she would've had no choice but to hire Ms. Stewart if not for Brianna." Vincent could feel a headache coming on at the mention of Mandy.
She was Charles' sister, and Charles had been his business partner and friend for many years. It would be troublesto have Mandy working under him.

Isn't that right, Tiffany?" Tiffany said, "We're not friends anymore." "It's normal for friends to get into fights. She looked pretty pitiful to me. Don't you want to help her a little?" Kelly looked at her with a sharp gaze. Tiffany faltered. Then, she said, "I'm sorry, Kelly, but I'm only an ordinary employee. This matter isn't up to me." Kelly smiled. "I heard from her that you two fell out over a man." Tiffany stiffened. Kelly continued, "I suppose it's only to be expected for even the best of friends to fall out when it comes to men. I can understand that. "But the past is in the past, and Brianna's willing to let bygones be bygones. I don't think there's anything for you to refuse to move past." "Me? Refusing to move past this?" Tiffany didn't understand what she meant. "What exactly did Brianna tell you?" Kelly smiled conspiratorially.
"Nothing, really. She just said you
guys fought over a man. I do have a piece of advice for you should stop coveting coveting things that belong to others. No matter how good a thing it is, it's not yours.
"I wanted to speak up on your behalf, neongto but you're really the one to blin this. It wouldn't reflect well on you if people were to hear about this." Kelly's words only confused Tiffany more. Just then, Vincent asked, "What's this about?" Kelly saw her opportunity and grabbed it. "Brianna said that Tiffany... tried to steal her boyfriend."
Tiffany was rendered speechless.
