Couples waste tgetting stuck in misunderstandings, but that's not something I do.
I'm telling you now to avoid unnecessary confusion." Alice let out a bitter laugh.
"You're giving yourself too much credit.
I'm not important enough to waste my tthinking otherwise." He rubbed his eyes, dry from the cold wind.
He refused to cry.
"That's all I wanted to say.
I won't bother you again." With that last thought, he deleted her number from his emergency contacts without hesitation.

After going to the hospital to have her wounds bandaged, she went to the police station to make a statement.
When Caden called later, she ignored all his attempts.
That sevening, she booked a ticket and flew back to Warrington.
Caden sat in the hospital, clutching his phone.
His face was filled with frustration.
He rubbed his temples, trying to think.
When Alice didn't answer, she called Gerry.
Because of his active nightlife, Gerry was still awake at that tof night.
"What's wrong, Caden?" she asked.
"Has Alicia tried to contact you?" Caden asked.
"Alice? Isn't she in Averibon?" Gerry replied.
"Why would she call me?" Caden narrowed his eyes.
"What is he doing in Averibon?" Gerry realized he had made a mistake and tried to change the subject.
"Why are you looking for Alice?" Caden wanted to press her further, but he realized that this was not the time.
Alicia wasn't answering his calls.
It seemed as if she had disappeared completely.
Caden spoke firmly.
"We had an argument.
I need you to get in touch with her and make sure she's okay." Gerry was caught off guard.

"You two had an argument? How can that happen when you're in different cities?"
Caden didn't have the patience to explain the situation in its entirety. "Letknow as soon as you hear anything from her." An hour later, Gerry called again.
"Alicia is back.
She just landed." Caden felt the tension ease.
Shortly afterwards, Yolanda was taken out of the operating room.
She had had her stomach pumped and looked weak and pale.
Caden took her to his room.
She then went to talk to the doctors who had given her the medication. None of them could explain why she had taken the wrong medication.
The doctor who treated her seemed serious.
