Chapter 278 Tanya raised a hand, and the conference room fell silent once more.

Scanning the room, she continued, "In the past, only senior designers were eligible to participate in the Elite Award. However, Ms. Yates believes that every designer should have a fair shot. So, this year, even interns can enter provided their work is exceptional." The room buzzed with renewed excitement. Many couldn't contain their enthusiasm.

At Yates Corporation, senior designers were a rare breed-only two or three held that title. Most of the department consisted of interns or junior designers who had only recently secured full-tpositions. The odds of getting noticed were slim at best.

But now, Tanya's announcement changed everything. This was an incredible opportunity.

"I can finally compete for the Elite Award!" someone exclaimed.

"Yeah, I used to just watch from the sidelines," another added.

"Oh my god, this is my chance! I'm going all in! I'm winning that gold award!" The excitement was met with a few eye rolls, but beneath it all, everyone secretly hoped for their own shot at glory.

From her seat, Seline smirked as she scanned the room, her gaze pausing briefly on Suzanne. Yet Suzanne remained expressionless as she sat quietly at the side, completely unfazed.

Was she not interested? Or did she think she wasn't good enough? After all, one great design didn't mean she could consistently deliver at that level.

Seline's lips curled slightly. It seemed that she had made the right bet.

Letting out a soft chuckle, she addressed the room, "Of course, as you all know, Yates Corporation only has two spots in the competition. So, it's up to you to prove yourselves." Despite the calmness in her voice, the statement sent another wave of excitement through the room. "Thank you, Ms. Yates!" Seline's smile deepened. She clearly enjoyed the admiration.

Macey, practically glowing with excitement, turned to Suzanne. "Suzanne, you can enter! I bet you'll win the gold award." With her level of talent, there was no doubt in Macey's mind.

Suzanne glanced at Macey's chubby face and smiled lightly. "I don't know. I'll give it a shot." Macey immediately leaned in, eagerly explaining the competition process to her. Meanwhile, Lillian, clearly unimpressed, muttered under her breath, "Ms. Seline, do you really think these interns have what it takes? This is just making more work for the rest of us." As a senior designer, she had only ever competed against Macey and a few others. Now, she had to fend off a whole new wave of challengers.

The room grew quiet as eyes shifted toward Lillian, their brows furrowing in subtle disapproval. If she weren't a senior designer, someone would have already spoken up against her.

But Seline merely smiled, her tone soft and composed. "To ensure equal opportunity for everyone, Ms. Johnson and I will take on the extra workload. All you need to do is focus on your designs." Her words were poised, instantly easing the tension in the room. Swho had doubted her before now found themselves rethinking their stance.

Even Lillian, though still frustrated, knew Seline's decision was final. With a huff, she shot a glare at the other designers. "Fine. I got it." Then, without another word, she stood and stormed out.

Tanya watched her leave with a frown, about to say something, but Seline gently patted her arm.

"Let her be. She's just upset. She'll get over it in a couple of days."

Tanya reluctantly let it go, though her irritation lingered. Perhaps they had been too lenient with certain people, letting them get away with far too much.

Seline, however, wasn't paying attention to anyone else. Her eyes remained fixed on Suzanne, herm thumb pressing tightly against her index finger as she fought to suppress the excitement bubbling inside her. She flashed a bright smile and remarked, "Good luck, Sue. I'm rooting for you." All eyes turned toward Suzanne, their gazes filled with curiosity.

The rumors about her being a have so-called miracle doctor could hav been manufactured by the production team, but what about her talent as a designer?
