Chapter 275 The onlookers wondered if Suzanne and Seline were about to go head-to-head.

The entire design department tensed up instantly. Sinstinctively thought about slipping away, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

Just then, Seline stepped forward and stopped right in front of Suzanne. Admiration flickered in her eyes as she exclaimed, "Sue, you're incredible!" Suzanne glared at her as if she had lost her mind. She couldn't help but wonder if Seline would get tired of keeping up this act.

Seline's fingers dug into the leather of her purse as she fought to keep her jealousy and frustration in check. But on the surface, she wore a bright, practiced smile.

"Sue, I had no idea you and Mr. Lambert were so close that he actually brought you onto the show. You should introduce us sometime," she continued.

The room fell into a hushed silence as they wondered if Suzanne got on the show because of Jenson and was her so-called miracle doctor persona just a product of the production team's marketing. The way everyone looked at Suzanne shifted.

Lillian folded her arms and sneered, "Dr. Smith, huh? Turns out it's all just hype from the show. And here I thought she actually had sreal skills." She had assumed Suzanne was someone truly impressive. But if her doctor persona was just a media fabrication, then what was there to be afraid of? Sensing the shift in the room, Macey immediately stepped forward, placing herself between Suzanne and the others.

She shot Lillian a sharp glare and scoffed. "That still puts her miles ahead of you. You don't even have a shot at being hyped up." A cold glint flashed in Seline's eyes.

"Why is this woman everywhere? All she does is run her mouth all day," she cursed inwardly.

She had staged this little scene perfectly, hoping the crowd would turn on Suzanne. But Macey-how dare she interfere? Lillian's expression twisted with anger as she raised a hand. "You!" But Macey stood her ground, unflinching.

Suzanne's expression softened slightly as she stepped forward, gently tugging Macey's arm. "Don't waste your breath on people who don't have real skills," she said.

Lillian's face darkened at her comments. She uncrossed her arms, her fists clenched. "What's that supposed to mean?" Fuming, Lilian thought, "How dare she act so smug when she's nothing but a fake miracle doctor?" Macey peeked out from behind Suzanne, stuck out her tongue, and taunted, "Exactly what it sounds like. Or are you just slow?" Then, she immediately ducked back behind Suzanne, looking rather pleased with herself.

Lillian's face burned red with rage. She lunged forward, snapping, "Macey Scott, I swear I'll rip that mouth right off your face!" With that, she reached out, ready to grab Macey. But before she could, Suzanne's hand shot out, gripping Lillian's wrist in a tight, unyielding hold.

"Ah! Let go! That hurts!" Lillian shrieked.

"Damn it, how is she this strong?" she thought.

In the next instant, Suzanne shoved her back. Lillian stumbled, completely losing her balance. She crashed straight into Seline's arms.

Seline barely managed to catch herself by gripping the back of a chair. She steadied her footing, then lifted her head, looking up at Suzanne with a pitiful expression.

"Sue... Why would you do that?" Her fingers dug so hard into the chair that her knuckles turned white.

"That wretched woman! She's getting out of hand," Seline seethed inwardly.

Suzanne's cold gaze swept over both of them before she said in a lowm steady voice, "I have a bit of a temper. Next time, it might be a broken arm or a broken leg." She wasn't about to waste another second on them.

She was tired of all this nonsense. Whether or not the production team had built her up as smiracle doctor, it didn't matter. Suzanne had joined the show for only one reason to promote alternative medicine. Judging by the reaction so far, she was satisfied.

Lillian had barely steadied herself when she opened her mouth to hurl more insults, but before she could, Seline cut in.

"Enough. It's work hours. Let's focus on work, shall we? Sue didn't mean anything by it. Let Sue Let's not make a fuss." Inside, she sneered, "How dare she threaten me?" She silently decided she'd show Suzanne what real hostility looked like.
