Chapter 271 Suzanne answered the call.

From the other end, Summer Lynch forced herself to hold back the agitation within her. She harrumphed softly and said, "You went to see Shane the moment you decided to pick your career back up? Are you implying that I hadn't led you to the peak of your career?" Right at this moment, Summer was wearing a knitted dress as she sat on the couch of her living room. The light makeup on her beautiful face made her look sharp and elegant.

Anyone in the jewelry industry would recognize her to be the manager of a world-class yet mysterious jewelry designer, Mauve Zachary, who was well-known all across the world.

Summer fixed her alluring eyes on the image of Suzanne on the reality show on TV. She was holding herself back from getting too emotional and driving straight to where Suzanne was.

Suzanne was finally willing to work on her career. This was great news, so much so that Summer was tempted to purchase fireworks to celebrate.

Summer seized this opportunity to ring Suzanne up in case the hopeless romantic side of her chose not to take any work again.

Suzanne massaged the area between her brows, which was throbbing. Leaning back on her seat, she tapped on the screen of her laptop before chuckling and answering, "That's because I was too occupied. It's not too late for us to advance to the peak of our lives together." If she didn't promise Summer, Suzanne was certain that Summer would head straight to confronting Shane. Suzanne had gone to Shane instead of Summer to build her career. As such, both of them would end up at each other's throats again. Just the thought of that happening made Suzanne's head hurt.

Summer lifted her finger to take a look at the pink diamond on her finger. Feeling satisfied, she replied with a smile, saying, "That sounds about right. There's a major competition happening soon. I'll send you the details in a bit. You should get ready for it." She was starting to feel excited. Summer lifted her eyes and looked at the TV. She paused momentarily when she saw the scene on it.

In a perplexed voice, she asked, "Something feels off about you and Jenson. Did you both break up?" Otherwise, why would Suzanne decide to make a comeback? In the past, Suzanne always had her eyes on Jenson even when they were in public.

Summer noticed that Suzanne and Jenson hadn't interacted much on the reality show. It was quite obvious that the relationship between the both of them had becmuch more distant. It even felt like they were strangers.

Suzanne admitted openly, "Yeah. We have nothing to do with one another anymore. I'll be focusing on my career moving forward." Summer was stunned. She exclaimed in disbelief, "What? Are you serious?" Suzanne retired all those years ago and started living a quiet life for Jenson's sake. After all that she had done for him, she was giving up now? Suzanne affirmed in a low voice, "Yeah." Summer leaped to her feet. With a look of surprise on her face, she remarked, "That's great. This day has finally come." Suzanne was at a loss for words. Was this how keen Summer was for her to break up with Jenson? Summer probably realized that she was being overly excited. She tried to hold herself back from grinning too widely. She coughed. "It's good that you've broken up. After breaking up, you can then focus on earning money." Suzanne got to her feet and walked to the coffee table. "Go ahead and laugh if you want to. Something like this won't happen again." Having been laughed at a couple of times, Suzanne was extremely calm. After all, she was the one who used to be a hopeless romantic.

While Suzanne spoke on the phone, she made a cup of coffee for herself.

Summer sat back down on her couch, crossed her legs, and resumed being that elegant and intelligent version of herself.

"That's alright. Let's create our glory days in the future together, hand in hand."

Suzanne paused for a moment with her cup of coffee in her hand, She aren't grinned and asked, You aren't satisfied with the glory you have now, are you?" Summer ran her fingers through her hair. Proudly, she replied, "Of course. We have to be timeless and undefeated."

She missed her days of the past.

Even the royals from Brontin would hire her to design their accessorie and crowns. Not many people around the world had such honor and glory.

Suzanne took a sip of her coffee and appreciated its smooth texture. Shether narrowed her eyes in enjoyment, then NO said in a serious tone, "Okay. We shall be timeless and undefeated in the future." These simple words conveyed her determination.

Summer was taken aback momentarily.
