Chapter 262 The woman was Yana Walker, Alan's childhood friend.
The Walkers and the Alvarezes had been close for generations.
She had insisted on working at the company solely because of her infatuation with Alan. She had pressured her father to arrange a position for her. In reality, she barely did any actual work. Her primary duty was monitoring any woman who dared to get close to Alan.

At that moment, Yana stood with her arms crossed, glaring at Suzanne with open disdain. "Suzanne Yates, right? What are you doing here?" She had heard everything Suzanne told the receptionist.
Yana's arrogant attitude made Suzanne frown. Pausing for a moment, she replied bluntly, "I don't see how that concerns you." Yana's expression darkened slightly. She let out a mocking laugh. "You cto see my future husband, and you think it doesn't concern me? Do you even think before you speak?" Whispers spread through the office.
"Look at that. Yana couldn't sit still. Finally, someone to put that woman in her place." "Exactly. Usually, Yana's arrogance is annoying, but today, she's actually kind of satisfying to watch." "Agreed. Speople deserve to be put in their place." The hushed chuckles of employees filled the air.
Little did they know, Suzanne and Roselynn had heard every word.
Roselynn shot up from her seat with her hands on her hips, glaring at the gossiping employees. "If you have something to say, say it louder! Ms-" She halted mid-sentence, remembering Suzanne's instructions not to reveal her identity.
Adjusting her words, she continued, "Ms. Yates is a civilized person who won't stoop to your level. But me? I'm different. Want to see who wins in a shouting match?" Then, turning to Yana, she sneered, "And who exactly are you? If you're an employee of Alvarez Corporation, show srespect to Ms. Yates. If not, step aside." Suzanne glanced at Roselynn, a smirk playing on her lips. This woman sure had a way with words. She insulted without a single curse, yet it was enough to leave her opponents speechless.
Yana sized up Roselynn with an icy sneer. "And where did this yapping stray cfrom? Move aside." Taking a step toward Suzanne, she glared. "Suzanne, I'm warning you-stay away. Alan is not someone you can seduce!" The mere thought of this woman trying to get close to Alan infuriated her. It was unforgivable! Suzanne's gaze turned cold. "Ms. Walker, if you're going to accuseof something, at least provide evidence. Otherwise, I have every right to sue you for defamation." She had no interest in pointless arguments but wasn't about to let herself be bullied.

She scoffed. "Exactly! Speople really think they're something special when they're nothing but a desperate wannabe. Seduce him? Please. Ms. Yates has admirers lined up for miles. Why would she bother with your precious Alan?"
If Yana really wanted to compare status, just Austin was in was enough to crush Alan The employees were stunned. Damn! Who was this fearless woman? She had no idea who she was dealing with!
Yana's face turned a deep shade of red. Trembling with rage, sɓePointed at Roselynn. "You're ridiculous!" Never in her life had she been insulted like this-especially in front of the entire office.
All around them, employees whispered among themselves.
"Yana always acts like she's already the boss' wife, strutting around like a peacock. Seeing her get put in her place is oddly satisfying." "Yeah, this is the first tI've seen her lose an argument."
Hearing the murmurs, Yana's expression twisted in fury. She swept her gaze across the room and snapped, "What are you all looking at? Get lost!"
