Chapter 212 Three days later, the agreed-upon thad arrived. It was tto deliver the work.

Early in the morning, the design department was already teeming with people. Nearly everyone from the department, whether they'd been on a business trip or not, had gathered.

All were waiting to see if Suzanne would be ousted from the company or if she'd find a way to turn the tables. But secretly, everyone thought it was most likely she'd be kicked out.

Suzanne, who was the center of attention that day, sat at her workstation in a white dress, her expression impassive. It was as if she had tuned out all the surrounding commotion.

Jessica, on the other hand, was dressed in a striking red bodycon dress that accentuated her vivacious and charming looks. With a victorious smile on her face, she hummed a tune as she strode briskly into the design department. She held a cup of coffee in one hand, and on her arm, she carried a limited-edition Chanel bag.

Today was the day of reckoning for Suzanne! If she could manage to get Suzanne fired, it would be a major achievement. Seline would surely show her even more favor. After all, once the long-standing employees were gone, the company would be Seline's for the taking! The more Jessica thought about the situation, the more excited she grew.

The moment she spotted Suzanne seated at her desk, she promptly marched over and sneered, "It's not too late to own up to your mistake. Otherwise, when you get fired, you'll be thoroughly disgraced." She was convinced Suzanne was just feigning calmness and had to be quaking in fear on the inside.

Suzanne lifted her head, her frigid gaze gliding over Jessica as she responded nonchalantly, "Are you that certain I'll lose? What if I end up winning? Won't you be the one left embarrassed, then?" Suzanne mentally labeled Jessica as one of Seline's lackeys, a complete dimwit.

Jessica's smile vanished in an instant, and she glared at Suzanne with irritation. "Fine! Let's just see how long you can keep up this charade!" A hush fell over everyone nearby. Clearly, there was real animosity between Suzanne and Jessica.

They were all perplexed. Why was this seemingly incompetent Suzanne acting so haughtily? Wasn't she supposed to try to be in the Yates family's good graces? Just then, Seline, clad in a beige short dress, emerged at the entrance of the design department. As soon as she stepped in, her eyes landed on Suzanne. Concealing the malice within, she approached Suzanne and, in a tone of feigned concern, tried to persuade her. "Sue, why don't you just admit your fault and put this behind you? Don't wait until you're left with no dignity." Jessica placed her bag on the nearby couch, crossed her arms, and took a sip of her coffee. "A nobody like her will never admit they're worthless," she scoffed.

She then glanced at Suzanne with blatant disdain and scorn. "Ms. Seline went through all that trouble with the selection. You're both from the Yates family, so why are you so utterly useless?" Jessica's words were incredibly disrespectful. She was essentially stomping all over Suzanne, doing everything she could to humiliate her.

Seline felt a rush of secret glee. Being lauded in front of such a large crowd, especially while that bitch, Suzanne, was being undermined, sent her elation soaring beyond control.

Seline turned to Jessica and said, "Jessica, don't be so harsh. Sue is also great." However, many in the design department couldn't resist the urge to chin. They stood up and began to mock Suzanne in hushed tones.

"Ms. Seline, she doesn't hold a candle to your excellence," one person muttered.

Another added, "Yeah, she's all ambition but no real talent." A third voice piped up, "It's Ms. Seline who's beautiful, kind-hearted, and capable. Unlike speople who put on a tough act but can't deliver."

These words were like sharp daggers aimed right at Suzanne. There were a few women who felt a twinge of sympathy for Suzanne for being so ostracized. But they knew better than to speak up. Seline was someone they simply couldn't afford to cross.

At that moment, Suzanne calmly reached for the sketchbook beside her. Everyone exchanged puzzled glandes, their minds filled with the squestion- could she really have sketched something?

Seline's brows knitted even tighter together. She was certain that this despicable woman was incapable of ve creating a decent design sketch. But her eyes involuntarily darted toward the sketch on the table in front of Suzanne. Jessica slowly sauntered over to Suzanne, her hand outstretched toward the book, ready to snatch it up.

She sneered at Suzanne, "Huh, you expectto believe you sketched something worth looking at? At best, it's just garbage..." But in the very next instant, Jessica's words died in her throat.
