Chapter 276 It was a little past ten at night, and this out-of-the-way suburban road was eerily quiet, almost like something out of a ghost story.
Allison had been driving for over ten minutes when she noticed a black car that seemed to be tailing her. This road didn't just head to the airport; there were other turn-offs up ahead that could take you elsewhere. Even if it was just an airport route, having another car behind wasn't exactly weird-maybe they were airport- bound too.
But there was something about that car that made Allison uneasy. She'd spotted it earlier, waiting at a red light back in the city. It had been parked just behind her at an angle. So, from the city to this stretch of suburbia, it had been shadowing her the whole time.
A shiver ran down her spine, leaving her with goosebumps. As she slowed down, the car behind did the same, showing no interest in overtaking. And when she sped up, it matched her pace.

Allison reached for her phone, ready to call for help. Meanwhile, in the car behind, the driver frowned and said to the guy in the back seat, "Boss, I think she's onto us." "Go for it," the boss replied.
Allison had just picked up her phone, finger hovering over the dial pad, when suddenly-BAM! The silence was ripped apart by a deafening crash. The black car behind had slammed into her, pedal to the metal.
The impact was massive, sending her white Rolls-Royce skidding out of control. It crashed into the roadside barrier with a crunch, the front crumpling like a piece of paper, airbags exploding out. Her phone slipped from her grip as her head spun with the shock.
Dazed but determined, Allison shook her head to clear it and fumbled to grab her phone. She needed to call for help, fast.
Just as her fingers touched the phone, the car window shattered, glass spraying everywhere. Someone was outside, armed with a tool designed to smash windows.
With the glass gone, a hand reached in, unlocked the door, and roughly yanked her out.
"Who are you?" Allison demanded, instinctively trying to fight back as she was dragged from the car.
The attacker didn't bother answering, just kept pulling her towards the side of the road. Inside the cramped car, she hadn't had much room to put up a fight, but now outside, she fought back fiercely, breaking free and landing a few solid punches.
The guy was taken aback; he hadn't expected a woman who looked so delicate to pack such a punch. He cursed under his breath, spitting out profanities as he lunged at her again.

The road was dark, no streetlights or cameras, just the glaring carheadlights highlighting the sorry state of the man on the ground. He lay there, bloodied and still cursing vilely.
"Can't you even handle a woman?" another man sneered as he stepped out of the black car, looking down with disdain. "Boss, she's got sserious moves," the guy on the ground grumbled, teeth clenched.
While the two men were talking, Allison quietly edged back towards her car aiming to grab her phone and call for help. But just as she got it, the second man snatched t from her hand. He swiftly removed the SIM card, smashed the phone to pieces on the ground, and snapped the SIM card in half, tossing it into the bushes.
"Cwith us," he said coldly, his voice dripping with menace.
