Chapter 234
"Hey Shannon, | could really use a hand with cooking over at my place. I'll shoot you the address. Just let me
know when you can swing by, and givea heads- up before you come."
Shannon chuckled, "I'm actually free right now. Are you home? | could pop over immediately."
"Sure, con over."
After the call, Shannon turned to Joshua and said, "Mr. Fisher, Ms. Allison is on board."
"Great. She often skips meals when she's busy. Since her place is near the office, you'll need to drop off her
lunch on weekdays. I'll sort out your pay, but if Allison offers, just take it. And keep it under wraps that this was
my idea."
The thought of earning double made Shannon's face light up with excitement. "Alright, Mr. Fisher, don't worry. I'll
take good care of Ms. Allison."
After New Year's, Joshua was buried under a mountain of work at the office. He kept pushing through, knowing
that even a second of downtwould bring thoughts of Allison rushing back.

In the CEO's office, Joshua was glued to his desk, focused on his tasks. Brian sat on the sofa, watching him with a
mix of emotions. "Joshua, there's something I'm not sure if | should bring up."
Joshua didn't even look up, his tone was cool, "Then don't."
Brian hesitated, then blurted out, "It's about Allison. You sure you don't want to hear?"
Joshua paused his typing, glancing up, "What's up?"
Brian knew all too well-mention Allison, and Joshua would be all ears. But he
also knew this news might not sit well with him.
With a nervous cough, Brian said, "Sabrina's been talking about setting Allison up with scollege guys
lately..."
He glanced at Joshua, watching his expression darken as expected.
Joshua's jaw clenched, "College guys?"
"Yeah." Brian swallowed, trying to find a gentle way to spill the beans.
Joshua's lips tightened, his eyes sharp, "What kind of college guys?"
"All sorts. Stall with abs, sathletic types, and then you've got your sweet,
innocent ones, and a few rugged, wild ones... quite the lineup."
As Joshua's face turned stormy, Brian decided it was best to stop talking.
Silence fell, heavy and tense.
Brian, feeling the pressure, took a sip of water. "You know how Sabrina is, always into those showy things
Sady had a word with her for your
sake."
In reality, Brian's claim of "having a word" was a stretch. When Sabrina rattled off the list of college guys, Brian
couldn't help but feel annoyed, and his sarcastic comments earned him a pinch from Sabrina, which still
smarted.

"What did she say?" Joshua asked, his voice icy.
"Huh? What?" Brian was momentarily lost.
"Your sister's trying to set Allie up. What did Allie say?"
Brian's face twisted with uncertainty. "You... really want to know?"
"Yes."
"Okay, but don't blow a fuse."
Brian cautiously replied, "Sabrina mentioned that on New Year's Eve, Allison agreed."
"Agreed to what?"
Brian's mouth ran ahead of his brain, "Agreed to let her introduce someone."
As soon as the words left his mouth, there was a loud "thud" as Joshua's ceramic mug hit the carpeted floor.
Luckily, the carpet softened the blow, and it didn't shatter
