Chapter 189
The guests around them started to glance over, whispering amongst themselves. Allison took a deep breath,
closed her eyes for a moment, and when they opened again, they were as cold as ice. "Lillian, you did that on
purpose, didn't you?"
Lillian, the queen of playing the innocent, pouted with a look of feigned hurt. "Allison, you clearly weren't
watching where you were going and bumped into me. How could you accuseof doing it on purpose? This is
the Owens’ place; | wouldn't dare to deliberately clash with you here."
At that moment, Olivia and Sabrina caught wind of the situation and began making their way over.
"Lillian, drop the act," Sabrina said bluntly, giving Lillian a slight nudge. "Everybody knows you're jealous of Allie.
You spilled that wine on her on purpose to embarrass her in front of everyone."
Lillian's eyes immediately filled with tears. "What makes you say that?"
Sabrina shot back, her voice full of indignation, "What you pulled at the horse track and up on North Ridge
already showed your true colors. Do you think everyone here is blind?"

Lillian looked like she was about to cry, "What did | do?"
Sabrina glared at her coldly, "Do you really wantto air out your dirty laundry here in front of everyone?"
"What's going on, Lillian?" Emily asked, coming over after hearing the commotion.
Lillian quickly moved closer to Emily, grabbing her arm and looking utterly wronged as she sobbed, "Grandma,
they're ganging up on me."
Allison let out a derisive laugh. She couldn't hold back any longer, and shot back right in front of Emily, "With
Grandma Emily watching your back, who could possibly mess with you?"
"Look at her, Grandma," Lillian whimpered, tugging at Emily's sleeve.
Emily's voice was stern, "Allison, don't go too far!"
"Me, going too far? Grandma Emily, is this how you discipline your
granddaughters? You say I'm unrefined, but look at what your own granddaughter has done!"
Allison, having said her piece, turned calmly to a nearby waiter. "Check the security cameras."
Lillian's face turned ghostly pale.
She had checked earlier; there were no cameras here.
Allison's sharp eyes seemed to pierce through her thoughts, and with a cold smile, she said, "Did you think there
were no cameras here This is such a grand ballroom. So many people coming and going. | thought you'd be
smart enough to know there must be surveillance."
Allison pointed around, "There, there, and there-those are all cameras. They're just disguised as decorations for
aesthetic reasons The cameras are the most advanced on the market, with a full 360-degree view. Let's see how
you plan to talk your way out of this."
Emily was furious, "Check the cameras then! Lillian would never lie. | want to see
how you plan to retract your accusations against Lillian!"
Cold sweat trickled down Lillian's back, her anxiety mounting.

They couldn't check the cameras. She had indeed purposely bumped into Allison to ruin her dress.
Why should Allison look so stunning today, capturing Joshua's attention all evening?
Why should Allison be the center of attention the moment she walked in?
She couldn't stand it!
If the cameras revealed she deliberately bumped into Allison, not even Emily would defend her.
No, they couldn't check the cameras.
Just then, out of the corner of her eye, Lillian spotted Joshua.
Immediately, she bit her lip and put on a contrite expression, "Allison, I'm sorry, it
was all my fault. Please don't be angry."
"What happened?" Joshua asked as he approached Allison.
Allison immediately caught on and a mocking smile danced on her lips. wondered why you are suddenly
apologizing. Ah, it's becauseo Joshua's here."
