Chapter 185

Ten days later,

Javier threw an extravagant party for Allison. The celebration took place at Javier's newly acquired estate, kicking

off at seven in the evening. Allison had been up since eight that morning, getting ready.

At the last Fisher family gathering, Emily had remarked that a lady ought to wear a gown. Allison considered

having one custom-made at Oak Lake's fanciest boutique, but, given the hall's vibe, she thought better of it.

This time, her dress was a pale blue, off-the-shoulder number in the Rococo style, inspired by Marie Antoinette's

iconic gown from the 1956 film "The Queen's Affair."

The dress boasted layers of petticoats and hoops, creating a grand and luxurious silhouette. Underneath, a stiff

corset cinched her waist and lifted her bust, highlighting her curves to perfection. The gown's silk fabric was

lavishly adorned with lace and pearls, radiating elegance and grandeur.

To perfectly complement the gown, the stylist adorned Allison with a platinum blonde wig, styled in a

sophisticated updo. The top was pulled back into a neat bun, while the bottom cascaded in elegant European

curls on either side, embellished with accessories to match the dress.

The estate was nestled in the western suburbs, roughly an hour's drive from Allison's apartment. At five in the

afternoon, Joshua arrived at the stylist's shop to pick Allison up. He was momentarily struck by her stunning

appearance.

Allison turned to him with a warm smile. "Hey, there."

Joshua was also decked out in vintage attire, his slightly wavy hair styled to enhance his noble aura.

Seated at the vanity, Allison glanced at her reflection as Joshua approached, bowing slightly and offering his

hand. "My princess," he said.

Allison placed her hand gently in his.

Joshua kissed the back of her hand reverently, "My princess, may | have the honor of escorting you?"

Allison also replied with a smile, "Of course."

An hour later, the Cullinan rolled up to the sprawling estate in the western suburbs. The car cruised down a wide

road, lined with towering plane trees. In winter, their leaves had fallen, leaving bare branches that painted the

gloomy sky with a lacework of lines.

From afar, a grand and majestic castle loomed into view, the centerpiece of the estate.

This old estate, even grander than

the Hartley family's, spread over more than 200 acres. Its main

attraction was a magnificent castle, surrounded by several villas.

The landscaping featured evergreen plants, lush even in the cold of winter, with

expansive gardens teeming with exotic flowers and plants.

The estate was equipped with all the modern amenities: a helicopter pad, an artificial lake, a swimming pool, a

cinema, tennis courts, a gym and stables.

Javier had recently purchased this estate as a wedding gift for Allison. With the

paperwork just finalized, today marked its grand debut to guests.

Luxury cars flowed into the estate, while uniformed guards at the entrance

checked invitations and verified the identities of the incoming guests.
