Chapter 151

As Joshua's warm breath caressed the nape of her neck, the crisp, enticing scent of his cologne wrapped around

Allison, sending sparks through her senses. Her nerves tightened, and she found herself breathing faster, and

caught up in the moment.

Joshua spoke softly, his eyes dropping to her lips, which were just inches away. He leaned in, brushing his lips

against hers with a feather-light touch that sent shivers down her spine. "So sweet," he murmured.

Allison's heart was pounding, her breath hitching as she lay there, tense and motionless. Was sex the reward

Joshua had hinted at? She had never been through something like this before, and her nerves were all over the

place. Her heart felt like it might leap right out of her chest.

Joshua sensed her tension and pulled back slightly, chuckling softly, "Relax, Allie, I'm not going to eat you."

Then, he kissed her again. At first, the kisses were soft and tentative, like he was testing the waters. Allison was

taken aback, wondering if maybe she had read too much into things. But soon, Joshua's kisses grew deeper, the

sweet taste of peaches mingling between them, and Allison found it harder to catch her breath.

Their fingers laced together, and a fiery warmth spread through Allison, making her feel feverish. Everything felt

so natural. When they reached the final moment, Joshua paused to ask, "Allie, is this okay?"

Blushing, Allison nodded. There was a box of condoms in the bedside drawer, ensuring everything was safe

before Joshua carried on.

For Allison, this was a whole new world. She had figured their first tmight happen eventually. After all, she

and Joshua had been together for several months—it wasn't rushed. Joshua was gentle at first, careful not to hurt

her, but gradually, his movements becmore intense. Allison gave in to the waves of passion, losing herself

completely in the moment, rising and falling with Joshua.

It wasn't until deep into the night that Joshua finally paused. In a blissful daze, Allison drifted off to sleep. She

woke up the next afternoon, realizing it was already three o'clock.

The space next to her in bed was empty; Joshua had already gotten up. Outside, & fresh blanket of snow had

turned the world into a winter wonderland, glistening like a dream. Tourists were out there, laughing and playing,

building snowmen and engaging in snowball fights, their joy echoing through the crisp air. Allison watched the

fun through the glass from her bed by the window, longing to join in.

"Awake? Are you hungry?" Joshua's voice cfrom behind her. Turning, she saw him with a tray carrying a bowl!

of oatmeal and spastries.

"| went downstairs to get streats and your favorite oatmeal from Harper's Deli. Want to try them?" Joshua

placed the tray on the small round table.

Allison nodded, "Sure, but letfreshen up first." As she got out of bed and slipped on her robe, her legs almost

gave out beneath her.

Joshua, quick as ever, caught her, pulling her into his arms with a teasing grin. "Legs a bit wobbly?"

Allison's cheeks burned. She hadn't noticed the soreness while lying in bed, but standing up revealed just how

fatigued she was. Maybe he had been a little too enthusiastic last night.

Joshua's tone dropped to a low, amused murmur. "Sorry, sweetheart. | was a bit too much last night. Let me

carry you to the bathroom."

Allison pouted playfully. "And | wanted to go play in the snow. How am | supposed to go out like this?"

Joshua chuckled, "It's just

temporary. Walk around the room a

bit to get used to it, and you'll be fine." He carried her to the bathroom, setting her down gently at the sink.

Allison was still a bit shaky, feeling the sting in her thighs and the ache incher calves, but she was smiling all the

same.
