Chapter 132

"Allie, didn't | tell you? Lillian is nothing but trouble. Do you really believe she didn't know Shawn was your ex?"

"I know she did it on purpose. | have a hunch. Lillian and Shawn have been plotting to break Joshua andup.

Since they're so keen on stirring things up, I'll play along and see who ends up more frustrated."

Sabrina gave Allison a thumbs-up. "Right on, you're spot on, girl. I've got your back!"

Brian leaned in, a smirk on his face. "Allie, was that guy really your ex?"

Just as Allison was about to reply, Brian suddenly yelped and clutched his head in pain.

Joshua's calm voice cfrom behind him. "You shouldn't be sticking your nose into other people's business."

Brian gave him a wounded glare. "Why'd you flick me? That hurt! | was just looking out for Allie."

"You've got sfree time, huh?" Sabrina said, shoving a skewer of fresh lamb and another of chicken wings

into Brian's hands. "Go grill these."

Joshua wrapped his arms around Allison from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Allie."

Allison let him hold her as she continued grilling the meat. "These skewers will be ready soon."

"Alright." Joshua's breath surrounded Allison.

He kissed her neck, and gently nibbled her earlobe, his warm breath making Allison giggle.

When Joshua tried to nibble her ear again, Allison laughed and dodged. "Stop it, everyone's watching." Joshua's

voice was low and playful. "Who cares? Let them see how sweet we are."

Feeling left out, Brian sighed, "Sabrina, do you smell something?"

Sabrina sniffed the air. "What smell? All | can smell is the delicious grilled meat."

Brian replied sarcastically, "It's the stench of love."

Joshua held Allison and lazily drawled, "Nonsense, love smells sweet."

Nearby, Lillian watched Joshua and Allison being all cozy, her frustration making her knuckles crack.

Once the meat was ready, everyone gathered around the table to eat.

There were two tables. By default,

Allison, Joshua, Brian, George, Olivia,

and Sabrina sat together, whiivia,

Lillian, her two friends, and Shawn occupied the other.

As soon as Allison and Joshua sat down, Lillian approached with a bowl. She placed the bowl in front of Joshua,

leaning in so close she was practically draped over him. "Here, | made schicken stew

nudged the bowl towards Allison.

"Allie, it's your favorite chicken stew. Wanna give it a taste?"

Lillian's smile froze.

Allison picked up a spoon. After savoring it, she turned to Lillian with a sweet smile. "Hmm, not bad. Thanks,

Lillian."

But it didn't stop there. Joshua picked up a piece of beef, feeding it to Allison. "Try this one."

The group watched this unfold and couldn't help but admire Joshua's smooth moves.

Nicely done! He just turned the tables, gently rejecting Lillian while keeping Allison happy. Brilliant!

Sabrina, enjoying the scene, chimed in, "Aw, young love is just so sweet. Lillian, look at how your brother and

sister-in-law adore each other."
