Chapter 130
Joshua subtly sidestepped to avoid any contact, keeping his cool. Lillian paused for a moment, then flashed a
bright smile as if nothing happened. "Hey, Joshua!"
Joshua just gave a short nod, not showing much emotion.
Lillian turned to Allison and her smile faded into a polite nod. "Allison."
Allison nodded back slightly.
Behind Lillian were two unfamiliar faces. She introduced them, "These are my friends, Maddie and Celena."
"Oh, and by the way, Celena brought a new friend. Letintroduce you all."
With that, Lillian turned her head and called out, "Shawn, they're all here."
Shawn?
Allison's heart skipped a beat. Could it be...?

Just as Lillian spoke, a face all too familiar cinto view. Shawn strolled over, wearing a slate-gray jacket and
holding a trekking pole.
Joshua's brow furrowed as he looked at Lillian, his eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and irritation. His voice was
unmistakably displeased, "Since when do you know Shawn?"
Lillian blinked, her wide, innocent eyes looking genuinely confused, playing the part of the pure-hearted damsel
perfectly.
"Shawn's a friend of Celena's. She asked if she could bring him along, and | said sure. Today's the first tI'm
meeting him, Joshua. Is there a problem?"
Allison stayed quiet. Her lips were pressed together as she pretended not to recognize Shawn.
Shawn, however, gave a knowing smile and greeted her, "Allison, long tno see."
Lillian turned to Allison, surprised. "Allison, you know him?"
Allison responded, "No, | don't."
Shawn countered, "Yes, she does."
Their responses overlapped.

Lillian shot a look at Celena, who quickly caught on and chimed in playfully, "Shawn, what's up with and Allison?

Shawn chuckled, giving Allison an enigmatic glance before casually saying, "Ex-girlfriend."
"What!" Lillian gasped, turning to
Allison in shock. "Allison, you're
Shawn's ex? Sorry, | didn't know
two had a history. If | had, | wouldn't have invited him."
Allison's suspicions were confirmed. If the riding club could be masked as a misunderstanding, what about this?

Shawn just smiled, not offering a reply, which seemed like a yes to everyone watching.
The atmosphere grew tense.
Sabrina quietly moved next to Allison, gently nudging her. "Is he really your ex?" she whispered.
Allison gave a barely noticeable nod.
Sabrina crossed her arms, murmuring, "Hmm, seems like Lillian's up to something."
Allison watched the group put on their little act, her expression frosty. She didn't believe this was just
coincidence.
Last time, when her cousin Zack threw a party at the Hartley estate, Shawn made quite the scene. Even though
Lillian didn't attend, she was the Fisher family's adopted daughter, so she couldn't have missed the gossip.
Lillian inviting Shawn seemed deliberate.
But what was her angle?
As Allison pondered, someone gently took her hand.
