A bitter smile tugged at his lips as he prepared to move away from her. Yet, just as he started to shift, Suzy
grabbed hold of his collar.
"Dylan Wright," she said coolly, "I told Helena we have nothing to do with each other. And yet, here you are,
barging into my room in the middle of the night. What's the matter? Trying to makelook like a liar?"
Almost as if on cue, the door was kicked open. Helena stormed in with a group of hotel security guards behind
her, looking flustered and desperate.
"Dylan, this is all my fault! It has nothing to do with Miss Frost. Please don't—"
Her words died on her lips as her gaze landed on the two of them. Dylan and Suzy were sprawled on the bed,
their positions undeniably intimate.
"You... you two..."

Her voice rose with anger, and she jabbed a finger at Suzy. "From this moment on, we're enemies. I'll never
forgive you!"
With that, Helena spun on her heel and stormed out, leaving behind the stunned security guards.
Suzy tightened her grip on Dylan's collar, her gaze fiery. "You heard her! Helena and | got along just fine before
tonight, and now, thanks to you, that's ruined. What's your problem, Dylan? Can't stand to seehave a
moment of peace?"
Dylan met her furious gaze without flinching. He pried her hand off his shirt, his voice calm but firm. "I'll handle
it."
Suzy let out a dry laugh, her disbelief clear. "Oh, | can't wait to see how you're going to fix this.
True to his word, Dylan wasted no tline. Returning to Helena's room, he pushed the door open

"None of this has anything to do with Suzy," he said bluntly. "I'm the one who went to her."
"So, what you're saying is, it's not her fault, but that you still have feelings for her?" Helena's voice rose, her
emotions spiraling further out of control. "If you still care about her, then why didn't you speak up when she
claimed the two of you have nothing to do with each other?"
Dylan's brows furrowed deeply at her outburst. "Helena, you and | have nothing between us- no relationship
whatsoever. So even if there's something between Suzy and me, that's our business. It has nothing to do with
you. You have no right to act like the victim here, and you certainly have no right to speak to Suzy the way you
did."
"No right?" Helena's voice sharpened with indignation. "Everyone on this trip knows I've made it clear | want to
marry you. Even Suzy encouragedto pursue you! And now she turns around and does this? In your culture,
wouldn't you call that going back on her word? Or do you think I'm just sfool she can toy with for her own

Her anger only grew as she continued. "Dylan, | might have been able to brush this off if you hadn't gone out of
your way to defend Suzy at every turn. But every word you just said was all about protecting her. Every sentence
felt like a dagger stabbing into my heart."
She paused, her voice trembling with a mix of fury and heartbreak. "In all my life, I've never been treated this
way by a man. | can't let it go. And | won't let Suzy get away with this."
Dylan opened his mouth to respond, but Helena didn't give him the chance. Grabbing her suitcase, she stormed
out of the room without another word.
