"Great!" Helena beamed at Suzy, her delight evident. "I never expected you to be so generous. Don't worry, I'll
make sure we get along just fine. Even though monogamy is the standard in Xandria and we don't usually do the
whole ‘one husband, multiple wives' thing, I'm willing to give it a shot with you..."
"Stop right there!" Suzy's eyes widened in shock, her voice cutting Helena off mid-
sentence.
"What, you don't want to?" Helena's expression shifted instantly, her face darkening." Didn't you just say you
were okay with sharing him with me?"
"When did | ever say that?" Suzy was caught between laughter and disbelief. "I think you've misunderstood what
| meant, and you've also completely misunderstood the relationship between Dylan and me.
"The truth is, there's nothing between us right now. He's just my ex-husband. And..." Suzy turned to look at
Dylan, her tone deliberate. "We have no intention of getting back together. So, going forward, he's all yours."
Dylan was speechless.

She pulled Suzy aside, whispering, "Boss, weren't you planning to, you know, get back together with Dylan?"
"Get back together?" Suzy
blinked innocently. "What are you talking about?"
"You know what | mean-remarry!" Riley pressed. "You said he's done so much for you that you owe it to him to
take responsibility. So why are you suddenly handing him over to Helena?"
"Oh, that?" Suzy intentionally raised her voice, ensuring everyone could hear. “Yeah, | did think about it before.
But now that someone else is willing to take responsibility for him, why should I interfere? Besides, he clearly
doesn't needanymore!"

He knew full well that Suzy was saying it on purpose, loud enough for him to hear. But even
